Part of Data centers

A large data center needs new power lines and plants before it opens. Should the data center's owner pay for them, or should the cost be spread across all the power company's customers?

0 responses so far · results at 100.

The data center pays. It should pay for what's built to serve it, so existing customers aren't left with the bill if it leaves, even if some companies build elsewhere

Spread the cost. New lines serve everyone for years, and the data center brings jobs and taxes, so all customers should share, even though home and small-business bills go up
