Where it leans

Hover over or tap a topic to see the exact reading.

  • Economics: Market. Prosperity and fairness come mostly from competition, price signals, and keeping government's footprint small.
  • Race and sex: Colorblind. Fairness means the same rules for every individual; past injustice is best remedied by equal treatment going forward.
  • Enforcement: Liberty. State power is the freedom that's hardest to claw back; the benefit of the doubt belongs to the individual, not the enforcer.

How the name is assigned

The poll asks 36 scored questions, six per axis, each a choice between two statements written by someone who holds that view. Your answers place you on each axis, and the name is the template your profile matches most closely. A profile that matches none of them closely enough is Cross-Pressured. Names are hypotheses until the data confirms them; the methodology page says how we test them.
